In Greek mythology, Hades kidnaps Persephone and brings her back with him to the underworld. She eventually gets rescued by her mother, Demeter. But Hades only lets Persephone go on one condition: she must return to the underworld each year and stay there one month for every pomegranate seed she had eaten. Now, every year when Persephone returns to the underworld, Demeter spirals into a deep depression that renders her unable to fulfill her duties as goddess of the harvest. Hence winter.
In real life, this is a drink invented by Tech N9ne, called KC Tea. We just threw in the pomegranate seeds, and we think they add a delicious little something.
Ingredients:
-Hennessy (double shot)
-a couple squirts of lemon juice (to your taste)
-Sprite
-pomegranate seeds
Tip: Don't skimp on the pomegranate seeds. You'll want a few in every sip. A good inch should do the trick. And while you're at it, mix one up for Hades. You and he will be spending quite a bit of time together, and I hear he loves his Henny.
